Glory be to God

Genesis 50

19 But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? 20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

Genesis 20 is such a powerful verse.
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
Where i am at in my life, this hits home.  What satan and his minions intended for harm in this world for me, God is using to glorify Him and the saving of many lives to come now and in the future.  The saving of my life, my children, and my wife can be attributed to now.  The saving of many lives can be attributed to the future through my family and through the work I am now doing and will be doing for eternity.

The biggest demonstration I know of this taking place here on Earth is through my wife.  What satan meant for harm, did harm her, but God transformed that harm into the biggest weapon for His Kingdom.  What God can do when we have been harmed is a beautiful recreation, it is life giving, Kingdom building.

satan is real, his minions are real, some of this world, some of another realm.  What he intended to harm me and those I love did quite honestly harm us.  Through Gods son Jesus though, the good that is being done far outweighs the harm, exponentially.  I included verse 19 in the above passage because as i read the chapter, verse 19 is equally as powerful to me.
  But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God?
Due to the fact that Joseph was in the place of God he was able to do perhaps the most powerful and freedom giving things that a human can do....forgive.  Also perhaps the most difficult for us humans to do, truly forgive.  His forgiveness brought countless others to God, because it glorified what our Heavenly Father does in us and through us.  He sets us free.  Free from shame, free from guilt, free from anger.  Those are not of God, but satan.

If we choose to forgive, we glorify God, it is a Kingdom builder.  If we choose to forgive ourselves from our own transgression and imperfections we allow God and Jesus to rebuild us, to build Their Kingdom in us.  I find it more difficult to forgive myself than others, but by the grace of God I haven't faced inflictions that many others have at the hands of human dominions.  I am in a good place now, the place of God, but I have a hard time of realizing that i still have much to learn, much to forgive myself for, much to give myself grace for.  Much further to go, much further.

I am grateful that when I find myself becoming prideful, it is pointed out to me by the Holy Spirit directly in me, or through others.  You will know when the Spirit comes to you.  I can now say that what the enemy meant for harm(my pride), God will use for good.  Why?  How?

Job 42
1 Then Job replied to the LORD:
 2 “I know that you can do all things;
   no purpose of yours can be thwarted.
3 You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’
   Surely I spoke of things I did not understand,
   things too wonderful for me to know.
 4 “You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak;
   I will question you,
   and you shall answer me.’
5 My ears had heard of you
   but now my eyes have seen you.
6 Therefore I despise myself
   and repent in dust and ashes.”

I take pride in the Lord, what He has done, what He is doing, and what He will do.  I am nothing without Christ, but with Christ a warrior, a broadsword of the Gospel in this earth.  When i find myself becoming prideful, it is quickly turned to recognition, quickly turned to thanksgiving of the Holy Spirit showing me this, quickly turned to pride in the Lord, pride in the heart...

2 Corinthians 5

11 Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade others. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience. 12 We are not trying to commend ourselves to you again, but are giving you an opportunity to take pride in us, so that you can answer those who take pride in what is seen rather than in what is in the heart. 13 If we are “out of our mind,” as some say, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. 14 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
 16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin[b] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

It is what it is, and this be it...
